For almost two decades, Ofer Cohen has been dedicated to Brooklyn's dynamic real estate market and the civic institutions that serve it. As an entrepreneur, advisor, investor, and board member, he has been at the forefront of Brooklyn’s remarkable transformation, becoming a trusted senior advisor to some of the world's largest institutions and a true market leader throughout the process.

In 2018 he partnered with Tucker Reed and the Totem team. The partnership has been investing through a programmatic JV with a family office over the last six years, successfully creating a pipeline of 1,500 housing units in Brooklyn. In 2023 the team formed Ailanthus to strategically expand the platform to tackle the city’s housing crisis by focusing on an area often overlooked by capital. Drawing on two decades of transactional expertise in Brooklyn and the ability to navigate government, Ailanthus aims to create 10,000 units of housing through the entitlement process over the next 5 years.

Ofer founded TerraCRG, the ‘Only Brooklyn.®’ commercial real estate firm in 2008, right before the Great Recession, handling over 3 billion worth of transactions with his dedicated  Brooklyn team. He was until recently the Board Chair of the Downtown Brooklyn Partnership, and serves on the Board of Directors of the Brooklyn Navy Yard and the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce. Additionally, TerraCRG actively supports many local causes and Brooklyn-based non-profit organizations.
